iannuttall · x · 2026-08-25
To avoid paying for Bartender and dissatisfied with OSS alternatives, the author built Barkeep, a native macOS menu bar manager, using Codex. Barkeep divides the menu bar into three sections (Always visible, Hidden, Always hidden), allowing users to manage layouts via drag-and-drop. The project is open-source.
