Apple Silicon Still Leads Single-Threaded Performance

Daniel Lemire observes that iPhone CPU transistor growth has been largely stagnant since around 2021. Despite this, processors continue to improve with rising clock frequencies. Yet, even the latest Intel or AMD laptop processors cannot match Apple's single-threaded performance, which remains ahead.
