Chatbase announced that the Government of Slovenia is now running AI agents on its platform: the tax authority answers every tax question in the country — VAT, income, business — with all 2.1 million citizens going through the same phone queue.
Last peak season, fewer than half of callers reached a person. This peak season, five AI agents built by Slovenia's own contact center experts answered 800,000+ questions. The replying user commented "j'ai ri" (I laughed), hinting at skepticism.
