David Manheim claims to have predicted that hallucinations are effectively solved in most domains, in a reply to Owain Evans. He clarifies, however, that this does not apply to all models or situations, noting that weak models, especially non-agentic ones or those not asked to validate their work, still perform poorly on factual issues.
