Long-Horizon Agent Dev Pain: Not Enough Time to Run Full Rollout

Co-host of the AGI House hackathon shares new challenges in developing long-horizon agents: under tight deadlines, you often do not have enough time to run a full rollout of your agent before the deadline. This was true for hackathon participants with 7 hours, and is increasingly becoming the case for anyone building and evaluating coding agents as SOTA runtimes increase from days to weeks. Additionally, the industry is converging on a definition of "Long Horizon agent" that goes beyond just "runs for a long time".
