LinkedIn CPO Hari Srinivasan revealed that over 1 million people have clicked the "Seems like AI slop" button since its launch on July 30. Data indicates that posts classified as AI slop are now receiving 40% fewer views compared to a few weeks ago.
Measures Taken:
- Improved Classifiers: LinkedIn introduced upgraded AI classifiers to detect AI-generated content.
- Feature Removal: The feature to "enhance your post" with AI was removed.
- User Feedback: The platform will alert posters if "Some members told us this post seems like AI." A previous report found that 41% of LinkedIn long-form posts were fully AI-generated.
