Twitch used content for Amazon AI training for years, now opt-out available

Twitch has updated its support page confirming that it has been using user content (streams, VODs, clips, chat logs, etc.) by default to train Amazon's generative AI models for years. Users can now manually opt out via the Security & Privacy settings.

- History: An executive confirmed Amazon was using Twitch content for training two years ago, but an opt-out mechanism is only available now.
- How to: Users must go to twitch.tv/settings/security to toggle off the "Generative AI Training" option.
- Usage: Allowing training means user audio might help refine speech-to-text models, improving Twitch captions and other Amazon Gen AI models.
