A Reddit user declares they're "tired of pretending": until DeepSeek releases open weights for DSv4 Flash with Vision, Qwen takes the crown for local coding. Qwen is a monster for code, especially web apps and UIUX tasks it can self-verify with screenshots, and multiple independent Qwen instances can be spawned to collaborate. DeepSeek, by contrast, is "really incompetent with UI awareness" and hogs the GPUs. "Alibaba really cooked."
