Citing data from HedgieMarkets: 74% of newly created web pages now contain AI-generated content, over half of published articles are AI-written or AI-assisted, and automated traffic passed human traffic for the first time last year at 51% of all web activity.

Platforms are swinging back: after Snap banned AI-generated videos from recommendations, human creator numbers jumped 120%; LinkedIn added an AI-slop reporting button the same week it kept nudging users to post with its AI assistant; Apple TV began labeling content "Made by Humans"; brands that went all-in on AI ads are paying premiums to return to human creators as AI ads stopped converting. The author's take: AI is flooding and diluting the market for creative goods.
