FDA Authorizes First Standalone Robotic Blood Draw Device Aletta

The FDA has authorized Aletta, the first standalone robotic device that can draw blood without hands-on operator intervention. Designed for adult outpatient settings, it must operate under phlebotomist supervision, with one person able to oversee up to three devices to address the U.S. phlebotomist shortage.
