Open-weight LoRA turns MiniMax H3 into a 1930s animation studio, 261 shots in 28 minutes

The author released STUDIO 1939, an open-weight style LoRA for the MiniMax H3 video model that turns any text prompt into footage resembling hand-painted 1930s cel animation: gouache backgrounds, warm celluloid palettes, classical character animation. Trained on curated clips from a public-domain 1939 animated feature.
Two flavors ship: light (r16) for a painterly storybook look and strong (r64) for flat-shaded golden-age cartoon style — same prompt and seed, only LoRA rank changes.
Key trick: no character sheets or reference images needed. Freeze a character description word-for-word and repeat it verbatim in every prompt, and the same character persists across scenes and worlds. Two short films were made in one night: SIX BILLION YEARS (261 shots in 28 minutes) and THE SEVEN DOORS (108 shots in 21 minutes). A turbo H3 model lands on fal soon.
