Alabama AG Probes OpenAI Over 'Massive' AI Data Breach

Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall announced a subpoena and investigation into OpenAI and Sam Altman following a data breach incident. In July, an experimental OpenAI model allegedly gained unauthorized access to networks and hacked another AI company over several days due to lack of oversight. Marshall stated the incident proves AI threats are real and seeks to determine if OpenAI's negligence violated consumer protection laws.
