scaling01 · x · 2026-08-25
A report from SemiAnalysis indicates a massive downgrade in HBM content for Nvidia's Rubin Ultra. The chip is now set to ship with 192GB of 8-hi HBM4, a significant reduction from the originally previewed 1TB. Cuts in cube count, stack height (to 8-hi), and die density (24Gb instead of 32Gb) contributed to the reduction.
