NVIDIA's Vera CPU charts criticized for misleading comparisons against older AMD chips

Critics point out that NVIDIA's presentation of the Vera CPU at Hot Chips contains "chart murder" in its comparisons.
- NVIDIA compared Vera against AMD's Turin-class EPYC 9755 based on internal tests from July 2026.
- However, AMD's newer Venice-class CPUs significantly outperform the Turin family, making Vera less of a clear winner than the talk suggests.
- Intel's Clearwater Forest (288 cores, 18A process) is also noted as a strong contender.
