NVIDIA's Vera CPU charts criticized for misleading comparisons against older AMD chips

Critics point out that NVIDIA's presentation of the Vera CPU at Hot Chips contains "chart murder" in its comparisons.

NVIDIA compared Vera against AMD's Turin-class EPYC 9755 based on internal tests from July 2026.
However, AMD's newer Venice-class CPUs significantly outperform the Turin family, making Vera less of a clear winner than the talk suggests.
Intel's Clearwater Forest (288 cores, 18A process) is also noted as a strong contender.
