UK to use Ukraine battlefield data to train defense AI

The UK struck a deal with Ukraine to use battlefield data to train AI models aimed at protecting sensitive sites, railways, and energy plants from protesters and hostile states. A pilot project will use AI-optimized sensors in buried fiber-optic cables to detect movement at a UK defense site. The government suggests the technology could be expanded to airports, prisons, and railways. Private companies will also get access to the data from Ukraine's "Avengers AI lab".
