Anthropic showcased Claude's impact on scientific research. In protein binder design, Claude (Mythos Preview and Opus 4.8) achieved success on 14 out of 15 targets, with individual success rates between 22%-35% (compared to the industry typical 10-15%). Some top designs bound several times tighter than previous best results. In chemical analysis, Claude Opus 5 analyzed NMR and LC-MS data in 19-23 minutes using only raw files and a short prompt, matching lab results on purity and hydrogen counts.
