GLiNER2.5 switches to boundary prediction, removing entity-length limits
kalyan_kpl · x · 2026-08-25
GLiNER has shipped its biggest upgrade ever, replacing span enumeration up to a fixed width with direct boundary prediction of where entities begin and end.
The change brings several new capabilities:
- No maximum entity length; inference stays linear in document length
- Long-context extraction with spans mapped to verifiable global character offsets
- Unlimited span length, extracted as accurately as short ones
- Joint entity and relation extraction, decoded together as one graph
