The analysis highlights how the robot's torso rotates around the vertical axis (yaw) towards the next step—swinging the upper body left as the left leg steps forward (right arm swings forward). This mirrors human biomechanics: when the left leg moves forward, the right arm naturally swings forward. This counter-balancing act is rooted in dynamics; since the leg and opposite arm are on opposite sides of the body's longitudinal axis, their forward motion counteracts torque to maintain stability. Trying to walk with opposite coordination (same arm and leg) feels instinctively wrong.
