Cursor source code leak reverses Grok Bot architecture
aigclink · x · 2026-08-24
The Cursor team accidentally leaked runtime source maps during the Grok Bot 0.18.0 release. Security researchers reversed them into readable TypeScript, covering the Electron main process, host, coordinator, local execution, and protocol layers. One developer even added an inference routing layer to switch between Claude Code, Codex, and OpenRouter within the same agent loop, and replaced remote boxes with a local Docker sandbox. This leak is expected to trigger a wave of open-source clones.
