Merge launched Merge for Workforce last week to tackle runaway enterprise AI spend: AI is among the fastest-growing budget lines, yet IT has no lever over it — employees reach for a frontier model on every task even when a cheap model would do.
The product lets IT set model routing policy per group; a desktop client pushes it to every machine and overrides model configs inside each person's AI assistants and coding tools. The company claims spend drops immediately.
