Why Would Companies Grant Us Access to Superintelligence? $200 Sub Makes No Sense

This thought experiment questions the assumption that companies would offer the public access to superintelligence. If a system can accelerate R&D, improve models, and deliver strategic advantages, then from an economic standpoint, opening it up to competitors and the public on a monthly subscription is absolutely irrational. The author asks: are we currently in a relatively open window in AI history—one that may eventually close?
