MIT professor built an eclipse travel planner web app with Claude Code in under a day

MIT CSAIL's Frédo Durand shares a web app for planning eclipse-viewing trips, built with Claude Code in less than a day.
Features include:
- Selecting trip duration, tolerable flight layovers, max driving distance from the airport, and destination-country safety per US State Department ratings.
- It surfaces interesting tourist sights, probability of clear sky, and expected temperature.
- Since Airbnb has no API, it approximates the acceptable region with rectangles and opens Airbnb searches over that region.
The author was inspired after watching a spectacular eclipse in Spain and built the app to plan future ones.
