MCP reveals roadmap: HTTP support and long-running workloads on the horizon

The Model Context Protocol (MCP) team released a public roadmap for the next 6-12 months. Key priorities include supporting long-running workloads with streaming, adopting HTTP as a protocol for local servers to improve unification, implementing progressive discovery, and standardizing identities and delegated permissions for agents.
