Hugging Face engineer shares agentic workflows to automate research curation

Niels Rogge from Hugging Face shared his experience building agentic workflows to automate his job. As part of the Community Science team, he constructed an automation stack using the Gemini API (switched to DeepSeek V4 Flash), Claude Agents SDK (switched to Pi), Modal, Hugging Face Jobs, and GitHub Actions for CRON jobs. The system automates the validation of model/dataset cards and paper links on the Hub to improve the visibility of research artifacts. The talk also covered other efforts like HuggingPapers.
