Ant Group's Ling-3.0 Open Source: 6 Base Checkpoints Across 3 Training Stages
Affectionate-File-26 · reddit · 2026-08-24
Ant Group's Ling team has released six Ling-3.0 base model checkpoints, covering two sizes (Tiny and Flash) and three training stages each:
- 30T Pretraining
- Mid-training
- WSM-merged
The official release claims the training recipe validated on Tiny was scaled to Flash. These are base checkpoints without post-training, meaning they are not ready-to-use chat assistants. No benchmark scores or deployment metrics are provided. The release targets developers interested in continued pretraining or task-specific fine-tuning.
