NVIDIA in Talks to Invest in Perplexity at $30B+ Valuation

NVIDIA is discussing an investment in Perplexity AI as part of a multibillion-dollar funding round that would value the startup at more than $30 billion, according to The Information.
Perplexity’s annualized revenue has surged to over $750 million, up from less than $250 million at the start of the year, driven by growth in its AI agent, Perplexity Computer. NVIDIA had previously considered licensing Perplexity's technology and hiring staff but shifted toward an equity investment. The companies have also deepened ties through NVIDIA’s Nemotron Coalition, with weekly meetings on hardware and software development.
