Google Colab adds SSH and CLI support for seamless cloud workflows
HankYeomans · x · 2026-08-24
Google Colab has enabled SSH and Command Line Interface (CLI) access, bridging the gap between local environments and the cloud. The new CLI supports:
- Agent-driven workflows: Integrating AI agents directly into Colab tasks.
- Instant provisioning: Immediate access to GPU/TPU resources.
- Remote script execution: Running scripts remotely with ease.
- Interactive runtime: Access via console and REPL.
This update significantly simplifies the process of testing and deploying workflows on TPUs and NVIDIA RTX 6000 GPUs.
