Developer argues GitHub Pull Requests mechanism might be meaningless

Developer tsoding shared a contrarian view that Pull Requests on GitHub are unnecessary. If collaborators know each other, they can simply add repos as remotes, perform all operations via terminal git commands, and communicate outside of GitHub. The argument is that the entire PR mechanism has been somewhat meaningless all along.
