Using Claude as a TTRPG campaign manager: edition conversion works, memory is the question
ThatAlarmingHamster · reddit · 2026-08-24
An amateur GM (a civil engineer in real life) asks whether Claude Pro can manage a long Shadowrun campaign. He has already confirmed Claude does a solid job converting characters between editions (1st to 5th), even claiming to produce a JSON file importable into Foundry.
His wishlist: remember PCs and recurring NPCs, fill in mechanical details and flavor text, link unrelated prewritten adventures into a coherent arc via PC goals and contacts, and generate reference files to refresh memory periodically. He's mostly curious about Claude's memory capabilities to tie it all together.
