The mechanism creates a paradox: while agents automate tasks, they generate a significant amount of new work for humans to supervise, correct, and manage. Founders describe it as hiring an employee who never sleeps—and consequently prevents them from sleeping too. Despite acknowledging the situation is unsustainable, the competitive drive keeps everyone from stopping.
