Stripe Link Launches CLI for Secure Agentic Payments
jeff_weinstein · x · 2026-08-24
Stripe released a CLI for Link, enabling AI agents to make payments on behalf of users safely. The workflow involves:
- User authorizes their Link account.
- Agent generates a spend request.
- Human approves via 2FA (FaceID/SMS), with flexible budgets coming soon.
- Agent uses a permissioned virtual card or token to checkout.
With 300M consumers, Link often eliminates payment onboarding friction.
