After Mozilla discontinued Orbit, the author rebuilt it from scratch as Apogee—a fully local, privacy-focused browser summarizer. It connects to local Ollama instances, uses WebGPU/Transformers.js for speed, and summarizes articles, videos, and threads. Source code and browser extensions are available.
