A community rumor claims the secret model "Ox Alpha" on OpenRouter is actually Zhipu's upcoming GLM 5.3 Flash — a Flash-tier model that reportedly outperforms flagship models like Fable and GPT Sol, suggesting Zhipu's post-training is putting Western labs to shame.
A reminder adds that zAI founder Jie Tang wrote in June that a GLM model at "Fable" level was expected before year-end, and the jump from GLM-5.2 to 5.3 came purely from post-training on the same base model. Kimi k3.1 is also said to be incoming. All unverified.
