Zoubin Ghahramani highlighted an article from The Economist on AI consciousness. He noted that a few years ago this would have been a fringe topic, but now it is on the cover. As people develop richer interactions with AI and AI systems start to experience the physical world, the question of whether and when they are conscious becomes increasingly relevant.
