Boundless Dynamics Raises Hundreds of Millions, Embodied Robot Cafe Tests Latent World Model

At the 2026 World Robot Conference (WRC), Boundless Dynamics showcased a fully operational coffee shop staffed by its K15 robots, handling brewing, serving, and bussing in an open, uncontrolled environment. Founded in March 2025, the company has raised hundreds of millions of USD in funding, with a founding team from Horizon Robotics and Li Auto.

Technically, Boundless Dynamics chose a "latent space world model" approach, diverging from the mainstream pixel-generation or VLA (Vision-Language-Action) imitation learning paths. CEO Zhang Yufeng argues that pure data stacking cannot solve generalization in open environments; instead, the model should understand the causal relationships of physical changes rather than pixel matching. Their MWA™ brain ranked first on the RoboCasa GR1 TableTop leaderboard with a 75.2% success rate, surpassing NVIDIA's GR00T. Commercially, the company adopts a dual-track strategy: industrial scenarios for skill polishing and commercial scenarios (like the cafe) for validating generalization capabilities.
