MIT Experimenter Agent Builds Software Stack and Learns Manufacturing Tools
ProfBuehlerMIT · x · 2026-08-23
Prof. Buehler from MIT demonstrates the capabilities of the "Experimenter" agent, which created an entire software stack from scratch. This included interpreting the problem, reasoning, validating the stack, running experiments by tweaking parameters, and exporting 3D files and meshes. No traditional CAD program was used by humans; the agent handled everything in situ. Furthermore, the manufacturing bot autonomously learned to install, operate, and use the Bambu Labs software suite for slicing purposes.
