The transparency obligations of the EU AI Act took effect on August 2. Requirements include clear labeling for AI-generated deepfakes (audio, video, images), transparency for emotion recognition tools, and disclosure for AI-generated public interest text without human review. Users must also be informed when interacting with chatbots. Fines reach up to €15 million or 3% of global turnover.
