The 2nd World Humanoid Robot Games opened today at Beijing's National Speed Skating Oval, running from August 22 to 26. The event has seen massive growth: the number of teams increased by 138% compared to last year's 280, and the robot count more than quadrupled to 2,056 units. Competitions include sprints, football, dancing, and scenario-based tasks like firefighting, library shelving, and office work. Organizers also built a "Robot Home" support center capable of housing over 1,500 robots and charging at least 1,200 batteries simultaneously.
