Agent Quest adds audio alerts to monitor multiple AI coding agents
Redrock990 · reddit · 2026-08-23
The open-source project Agent Quest has been updated to solve the challenge of monitoring multiple AI coding assistants (like Claude Code or Codex) simultaneously. The tool visualizes agent sessions as heroes in a 2D world.
Key New Features:
- State Detection: Clearly identifies if an agent is working, waiting for input, finished, or stopped by error.
- Multimodal Alerts: Uses visual cues and distinct sound effects to notify users, eliminating the need to watch the dashboard constantly.
- Multi-session Management: Ideal for users running parallel sessions, it alerts only when human intervention is required, saving the hassle of constant tab switching.
The project remains fully open source, featuring desktop notifications, history logs, and configurable sounds.
