Ultra-low latency inference will drive open systems mainstream

After swarm-based modifications to AOSP, the author agrees with Paul Graham's view that Apple is resting on its laurels. He argues the future belongs to open systems and open hardware that agents can easily customize. This trend will become undeniable once ultra-low latency inference goes mainstream.
