Anthropic GA's Computer Use and Skills API for agents to operate software and apply expertise

Anthropic announced the general availability of Computer Use, the Skills API, and the Files API on the Claude Platform. Computer Use enables agents to operate software interfaces by clicking, typing, and scrolling based on screenshots, extending to web apps with a new browser use tool. The Skills API allows uploading and versioning skill packs (instructions, scripts, templates) that load on-demand in a secure sandbox. The Files API manages document storage for agents. Together, these tools allow building production agents that can manipulate software, leverage team expertise, and return finished files.
