Higgsfield raises $400M at $5.4B valuation, ARR hits $700M building the agent layer atop video models

AI video startup Higgsfield closed a $400M Series B led by DST Capital at a $5.4B valuation — up 4x in under 8 months. ARR has reached $700M, with 30M+ users and 390 Fortune 500 clients.
The layer above the models: Rather than building its own video model, Higgsfield orchestrates Seedance, Kling, Veo and Sora behind a "reasoning engine" handling character consistency, cinematography translation (CinemaStudio) and production workflow. In May it produced the 95-minute AI feature HellGrind with Seedance 2.0 — a 15-person team, 14 days, $500K budget ($400K of it compute) — premiered at Cannes.
Business shift: 70% of platform activity is now commercial advertising; the company sells production efficiency to enterprises instead of videos to creators. The piece also compares Chinese analogues Flova and LibTV, arguing the next AI video battle happens at the agent layer, not the model layer.
