MemFail Paper: Stress-Testing Failure Modes of LLM Memory Systems

Accepted to EMNLP 2026, the MemFail paper introduces a diagnostic framework to analyze failure modes in LLM memory systems. It formalizes memory into summarization, storage, and retrieval, and constructs adversarial datasets to test these operations, evaluating tradeoffs across four SOTA systems.
