NVIDIA world model researcher Ruilong Li leaves; led key projects like gsplat

NVIDIA researcher Ruilong Li has announced his departure. A Tsinghua alum and incoming UC Berkeley PhD (2025), he previously worked at Google and Meta. His work focuses on 3D reconstruction and generation. He was a core contributor to the NeRF acceleration library nerfacc and an early author of gsplat, a key CUDA backend in the Gaussian Splatting ecosystem. At NVIDIA, he continued this path with the NuRec project, rebuilding interactive 3D scenes from video.
