Machine Learning Cuts Quantum Error Mitigation Costs with S-ZNE Method
bravo_abad · x · 2026-08-23
Researchers introduce Surrogate-enabled Zero-Noise Extrapolation (S-ZNE), using ML to predict quantum circuit behavior at noise levels classically. This drastically reduces repetitive measurements on expensive quantum computers. The method applies to families of parametrized quantum circuits and aims to lower the cost of quantum error mitigation.
