Replying to a discussion on Nietzsche's views, David Deutsch stated that Nietzsche would not oppose the advent of AI, but he had no idea it could actually happen. Deutsch argues that Samuel Butler was the only person during Nietzsche's lifetime who foresaw this possibility.
