Opinion: AI hardware should sell taking your context with you, not locking it in

The author argues current AI hardware still charges to keep user data and context locked in. His most-used device is Feishu's recording pod, because its CLI pulls all transcription into his local context. As agents centralize and model prices fluctuate, locking users via model services no longer works — providing richer agents/skills that feed hardware-captured context into the user's own agents creates far more value.
