DeepSeek Harness web search requires paid API key, charges at v4-flash rates

A user experimenting with DeepSeek Harness discovered that the websearch tool requires a DeepSeek API key to function, even if DeepSeek models are not used. Every search hit incurs a cost equivalent to calling the deepseek-v4-flash model. Currently, there are no free web search plugins available on the platform.
