Ex-Coohom VP launches startup for consumer-grade 3DGS camera Pebble
快鲤鱼 · wechat · 2026-08-22
Former Coohom VP Zhang Ji left his position, forfeiting millions in stock options, to found Hangzhou Zhuma Innovation, focusing on consumer-grade 3DGS (3D Gaussian Splatting) hardware. Their first product, Pebble, is a spatial camera that integrates 3DGS reconstruction, multi-sensor fusion, and edge-cloud collaboration. Users can capture real-world 3D scenes simply by scanning the space, targeting overseas designers and prosumers, with a crowdfunding launch planned for later this year. Zhang believes that while 3DGS technology is proven, the market lacks low-barrier ToC products, positioning Pebble more like "Meitu" than professional software. The team has closed angel and angel+ rounds from investors including FreeS Fund and SenseTime. Future plans involve leveraging the collected 3D spatial data to train models for Embodied AI and World Models.
