Mind Robotics has raised $400 million, bringing total investment above $1 billion, with Kleiner Perkins among its backers. The company was spun out in November 2025 by Rivian co-founder RJ Scaringe and is based in Palo Alto, Calif.
- It is building a full-stack platform of foundation models, purpose-built robotics and deployment infrastructure to automate dexterous, reasoning-intensive manufacturing tasks at scale.
- Rivian is first customer and shareholder, providing a live high-volume factory environment that feeds a "data flywheel" for rapid iteration.
- The company says it is not building single-task machines but a platform that generalizes across core manufacturing tasks. No robot images have been released yet.
